Design the going-out app people screenshot and send to friends.
About the role
Own Dusk, the OutFindr design system, and develop it as the app grows.
You will design flows for people making a slightly nervous decision: going somewhere new, with people they have not met. Help them understand who is going, what to expect and how to join. Pay attention to empty states, especially when nobody has RSVPed yet.
Work alongside the engineer implementing your designs and review the result together.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end product design: research, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototypes, and the motion spec.
- Grow and enforce the Dusk design system across the app, the web app and the marketing site.
- Design for small screens, including empty, loading and error states.
- Speak with users and test how they understand your designs.
- Specify motion duration, easing and interruption behaviour.
What we're looking for
If you meet most of these requirements, apply.
- 2+ years designing shipped consumer product, with a portfolio explaining your decisions and the results.
- Fluent in Figma: components, variables, auto-layout, sane file hygiene.
- You have designed and maintained a design system.
- Typography and layout skills, with an ability to explain why a screen feels off.
- You understand what is cheap and what is expensive to build.
Nice to have, never required:
- Motion design with Rive, Lottie, After Effects or specifications for Reanimated.
- You can prototype in code.
- Illustration or brand work.
Pune, Maharashtra · on-site, five days a week.
