Own discovery, bookings, payments or notifications from design through maintenance.
About the role
Own discovery, bookings, payments or notifications across the database, API and app. Write the spec, discuss trade-offs with the team and ship the feature.
You will also review code and mentor a junior engineer or intern. Bring experience maintaining production software and explaining the decisions behind it.
What you'll do
- Design and ship features that span the API, the database and the app, with the migrations and rollbacks planned before you start.
- Define the data model, API contracts and failure handling for the features you own.
- Review code across the team and help improve shared conventions.
- Mentor an SDE 1 or intern through planning, implementation and code review.
What we're looking for
If you meet most of these requirements, apply.
- 2+ years shipping production software in TypeScript, or fluency in a comparable stack plus a willingness to learn TypeScript.
- You have designed a relational schema you were later happy to live with.
- You have debugged something in production under time pressure and written the postmortem.
- You can hold a product argument without making it personal.
Nice to have, never required:
- React Native, Expo, or mobile release experience.
- Payments, real-time systems, or push infrastructure.
- Cloudflare Workers, Postgres performance work, or queue-based architectures.
Pune, Maharashtra · on-site, five days a week.
