Child Safety Standards
OutFindr's published standards prohibiting Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Our commitment
OutFindr is a social platform for discovering events, venues, and people, operated by OutFindr Social LLP.
OutFindr has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). These standards apply to every user and every feature of OutFindr.
What we prohibit
Engaging in, facilitating, or attempting any of the following results in immediate removal and reporting to the relevant authorities.
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): any image, video, text, or media that sexualizes, depicts, or exploits a minor.
- Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to sexualize, lure, or exploit a minor.
- Sextortion, or sharing or threatening to share intimate content involving a minor.
- Trafficking, advertising, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child.
- Sexualized commentary, contact, or content directed at or depicting a minor.
- Linking to, promoting, or distributing CSAE or CSAM hosted anywhere, on or off OutFindr.
Who can use OutFindr
OutFindr is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account or use OutFindr. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we remove the account and delete the associated data.
How we prevent and respond to CSAE
We combine in-app reporting, review, and cooperation with authorities to keep CSAE off OutFindr.
- In-app reporting: any profile, event, or chat can be reported and blocked directly inside OutFindr. Reports flagged as child safety concerns are prioritized.
- Review and removal: we review CSAE reports promptly, remove violating content and accounts, and preserve relevant evidence as required by law.
- Reporting to authorities: we report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local law enforcement, as applicable.
- Account action: accounts that violate these standards are permanently banned, and we take steps to prevent re-registration.
How to report a child safety concern
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Inside the app: open the profile, event, or chat, tap the menu, and choose Report (and Block), selecting a child-safety reason where shown.
